Site Planning, Schematic Design

This public recreation park is proposed for a six acre site that is situated along Furnace Brook and is adjacent to both commercial and residential neighborhoods. The town was looking for a design that would appeal to young children, teenagers, grown-ups and families. Working with the town, BMA developed a program and a schematic design that includes a skate park, basketball courts, and a water feature for kids and adults to cool off in the summer, a children’s playground, restrooms, picnic areas along the brook, and a multi-purpose field. The design has been well received by the community and the town is presently working on funding for the 1.2 million dollar project.
